Tigerrrrrr! Hes back.

What a final round at Augusta. Vintage Tiger taking control on Sunday. I wasn’t sure if we’d ever be able to see or say that again. But the Legend is back. Great win. Great for Golf. And that leaderboard was crowded with talent. DJ, Koepka, Finau, Molinari, Day, Rahm, Fowler. That little meatball Molinari must have been shitting his pants playing with Tiger on the last round. Tiger was paired with Tony Finau and Francesco Molinari. Molinari hits the drink TWICE and ends his chances. He finished +2 on the day, in which he started with a 2 stroke lead. Koepka missing the birdie on 18 really eased up the pressure for Tiger when he came around to 18 himself. (There was a great video of Kopeka about to tee off and even he was thrown off by Tiger’s crowd roars.) Tiger ends up with a bogie on 18, so if Koepka birdies his last hole, after Tiger bogies 18 there woulda been a playoff.

He hasn’t won a major in since 2008. After his injuries, surgeries, DUI’s, divorce, rehabs, it seemed that Tiger was falling off of a cliff. But at 43 he wins his 15th major.

Watching him climb the leaderboard and stay ahead brought us back to the good ole days. Tiger in Red on Sunday. Tiger in a Green Jacket.

I don’t think I know a single golf fan watching this weekend that wasn’t rooting for Tiger to pull it off. After he finished up on 18, it seemed like a bunch of players were hanging around just to get a high five from him. Everyone wanted to be a part of it. Tiger almost cried. I almost cried.

This win bridges golf generations. Now kids growing up these days have seen Tiger on Sunday and his Legend will live on even further. His own kid wasn’t even alive to see his Tiger’s last major win! Even a bunch of players were kids back in 2008. Speith, Fowler, Rory. Those guys were teenagers. And thats just getting back to Tiger’s last major win. He wasn’t even dominating like the good ole days 10 years ago.

His mugshot is also a classic.

The Legend of Tiger lives on.
