So The Big10 Conference wanted to play in Madison Square Garden soooo badly that they had to start their conference tourney a week earlier then basically every other conference that matters. I think the MAAC and Misssouri West might be starting their’s this week too, but it is definitely a loser move by the Big 10.
The reasoning behind the early start is because they have to get out of MSG for the Big East! The Big East tourney has always been in MSG, since they do actually play in the East and not MidWest, and is set to start next week. Whoever is running the Big 10 is clearly making a business decision and money-grab move to jam into MSG a week early.
Are people in Manhattan really going to take a cab/subway to the Garden to watch Rutgers vs Minnesota or Iowa vs Illinois?? Not Likely

Whoever wins the tourney whether its Purdue, Ohio St, Michigan or Michigan St, will have a long time off before their first NCAA bracket matchup. Also if one of those big time teams loses early on, they have almost 2 weeks off!
Keep that in mind when picking upsets for your $10 office pool
