Zion Williamson the next BronBron?

Zion Williamson is definitely a freak who can jump out of any gym in the country.  But is he the next Lebron?  The reason there is so much hype surrounding this kid is because of his ridiculous dunks in his current High School bball games.

This kid was born in 2000! Makes me feel like an old piece of shit but good for him.  Y2K babies are finally here.

Those are just a few recent dunks he has thrown down and he looks like a grown man playing against 8th graders.  Zion is listed at 6’7 – 270 lbs!!  Crazy that a 17 year old still in high school can be that athletic and stillll be 270.  To give you a little perspective, Bron weighs about 250, Boogie Cousins a near 7Footer weighs 270, the same as Zion.  And Boogie been in the league a few years now right?  Not to say Boogies been hitting the gym because he always looks pudgy, but this kid is in High School and is only 6’7 weighing 270 already.  He is a man-child forreal.

What is his schools name? Spartanburg Day School?  Any school that is a ‘day school’ just seems suspect.  It sounds to close to ‘day care’ or something that Zion shouldn’t be attending.  I will say that it does look like he’s playing a 9th grade AllStar team every time I see his highlights.  Maybe Zion should look to get out of ‘day school’ conference and actually play some bigs?  Where’s Manute Bole’s kid at?  He’s like 8’2.  I wana see Zion try and slam on that kid instead of these slow white kids from other local day cares.  I mean day schools.

Zion will be at Duke next year, which is my squad.  The only knock for me right now is, can he shoot?  Do dunkers really make it?  The problem with dunkers is that they are so good at one thing and never really develop a game outside of just dunking.  Blake Griffin will never be able to actually shoot.  Zach LaVine, although recently improving his jumper, is only a dunker.

SO in order to be the next Lebron you gota be able to fill it up, win, dunk, shoot, pass, rebound, guard, think, lead, can Zion?  My guess is no, but thats just because the odds are against him.  It’s hard to live up to the hype and thats why Bron is one of the greatest ballers of all time.  Dude had the most hype in the world, ESPN televising his HS games, he probably knew he was #1 pick in the draft since like 11th grade, but still lived up to it and won titles.

I also admit I guess I don’t mind the one and dones, because as a college basketball fan, I would have loved to see Lebron at Duke or North Carolina trying to win a national championship.  Good thing we’r making Zion go to school…

And he chose Duke – smart
