So Lebron didn’t make us wait too long this time around.

There was no ‘Decision’ party at the local Boys n Girls club.  Not even really sure who broke the story first, but King James has decided to sign with the Lakers.  Magic seemed confident in getting Lebron and he delivered.

Something to note here is that Lebron signed a 4 year deal.  That is nothing like the contracts he was jerking Cleveland around with.  He has a player option after the 3rd year, but he gave up signing 2 year deals with an opt-out after 1.  This move clearly shows that Lebron wants to give the Lakers 3-4 years to win another title.  He is 34 now and will be 38 at the end of his LA contract.  Knowing that, it seems that Bron is almost conceding that he will not appear in the NBA Finals for the 9th time in a row this year.  That streak had to end at some point and Lebron ended it on his terms.

Now the West is stackedd with talent.  The NBA All Star game was already a joke, now it might become fully unwatchable.  Are there any stars left in the East? An injured Kyrie or Porzingas? John Wall and those bums in Canada? No thanks.

The West now has the Golden State all stars, Westbrook & Paul George, Harden in Chris Paul, Kawhi which seems like he’l either be held hostage in San Antonio or possibly traded to the Lake Show.  Since Bron committed to the Lakers without any other stars on the team, the Spurs now have the leverage when discussing a Kawhi deal with them.  Also I am hearing that the Spurs are entertaining the idea of trading Leonard to the 76ers.  Wouldn’t be a bad move for Kawhi to get out of the Western Conference at this point and just have an easier road to the playoffs.  Speaking of easy roads, there ya go Boston.  NO excuses now if you can’t get to the Finals next year.  You too Philly…

After the Bron signing was announced Vegas updated their odds to win the Championship.  Obviously the Warriors are still the favorite but the Lakers jumped to 2nd? Huh?  The oddsmakers play the public all the time and this is yet another example of it.  Vegas knows public money/bettors will pour in on the Lakers just because Lebron signed there.  So why pay out those people on good odds if he wins?  Lets just bump them to the 2nd favorite for no reason.  You really think Lebron, Lonzo ball and Brooke Lopez can even beat OKC? Or Houston? No way.  They still have a little while to go and players to acquire.  I will say that if the Lakers somehow pull off getting Kawhi without losing too much, they become instant contenders.

The NBA free agency is a season of its own, and this years has not disappointed.

Move over Kobe, Lebron’s here now.
