Grab the broom – It’s over….hopefully

I really thought the Cavs would show up and win Game 3.

If Lebron needed 50 again, I thought he would be good for it.  I was wrong.

Turns out he only really needed about 45 instead of his 33 point triple double.  The one thing that gets to people (including myself) is the fact that Lebron is such a great player, but he has and forever will be looking to pass first.  He’s not a bonafide scorer, more specifically a shooter.  That’s what seperates guys like KD or even Kobe and MJ.

The reason those comparisons don’t work is because all 3 of those other guys are straight up snipers when it comes to shooting.  Lebron is best when he is driving to the hoop like an unstoppable force, and either slamming, getting hacked, or kicking it out for a WIDE open 3, which nobody on his team can consistently make.  Thats his best game.  Bron is one of the greatest players ever, but his game is unlike past greats.  He does everything for his team.  Nobody has been asked to do more for his team, on both ends of the floor, ever.  He’s guarding KD, then needs to rebound, bring the ball up the floor, then either create a shot for himself or a teammate.  Then Repeat. For 48 minutes.

When you look at the other greats like MJ, Kobe, or even modern day studs like KD at the core of their game, they are shooters.  Durant for the second year in a row in the waning minutes of the game is looking to pull up a deeeeeep 3 and end the series.  He has now done that two years in a row. In Cleveland.

Durant over Lebron 2017

Lebron needs to do more to get his points.  KD can slowly bring the ball up past half court, hesitation dribble and drill a 3ball in your mouth.  Even on Lebron.  When Bron is shooting well, he can’t be guarded.  Just like in Game 1.  But games like that for the King don’t come as easily as they do to a shooter/sniper like KD.

Everyone knew the Cavs didn’t have a chance to win this series, and hopefully Golden State can stop the bleeding and just end it in 4.

For Lebron’s sake, just take an L and get to the off-season, which should end up being more interesting then this NBA Finals.
