We all know he’s the best player in the game. It’s obvious Lebron James is the MVP of the season. But will he win it?
Odds are he doesn’t win this year but when you look back and think about what Bron did this year, you realize he deserves the MVP once again. We saw years like this happened with MJ when he didn’t win the MVP of the league because the commish got tired of handing it to him. This year seems like we are headed in the same direction and the league wants to share the wealth of MVPs with other guys not named Lebron. This year it looks like Lebron v Harden.
Last year when the Cavs had Kyrie they won 51 games during the regular season and made the Finals. This year after the departure of Kyrie, jerkin around with mini-me Isaiah Thomas, (good luck ever getting paid lil guy) Lebron played in every single game of the season and the bum ass Cavs managed to win 1 game less then last year. 50. They also are a couple Ws from getting backkk to the Finals which would be quite the accomplishment. (Lebron’s 8th Finals in a row?! Yup)
Here’s a good season breakdown via TheHerd IG (Colin still one of the best out)
Is this Cavs team worse then Lebron’s first Finals team in 07? No, but its not much better.
So Lebron loses an all star teammate point guard, gains pretty much nobody in return, plays every game, averages 27.5 points a night, 9 dimmers, and 8.5 boards. Shooting 55% from the field. Great numbers, didn’t miss a game, team sucks and gets 50 Ws. If Lebron leaves the Cavs after this season and they bring back everyone on the roster, they might win 20 games next year.
Now lets go to ‘The Beard’ who is actually a likable guy if you don’t mind just turning your head when he plays Defense. This year Harden gained an All Star PG named Chris Paul, which I’m sure made life easier. Then Houston surrounded them will solid shooters like Ariza, Eric Gordon, Ryan Anderson, Gerald Green, PJ Tucker, along with Clint Capela playing well. Their team ripped off 65 wins. Harden put up 30 points a game, along with 9 assists and 5 rebounds. Shooting only 45%. A really strong stat line for the year, no knocking that. But when you see Harden play his shot selection is tough to watch sometimes and you have to completely disregard half of the floor. His defense is atrocious. Most of the defensive plays Harden takes off and he doesn’t even attempt staying in front of a guy. We all remember how Bron plays D right?..
But let’s get back to how ‘valuable’ these guys are to their teams as the MVP is given to the most valuable player.
Bron leaves the Cavs, they win 20 games.
Harden leaves the Rockets, I duno maybe they drop to a 5-7 seed? In the West.
When LBJ is on the floor he is by far the best player on the court on both ends of the floor and only until he sees KD in the Finals is he challenged or matched.
The guy passes as good as Magic Johnson, carries his dumpster teams to Finals, and knows how to WIN.
If anything this post season has just proved what type of player Harden is. Half Russel Westbrook. The other half he just doesn’t bring to the playoffs.
neither does Mr.Overrated CP3.
