The PGA golf season is underway and although we haven’t gotten to any majors yet, the first being the Masters in April, I think the thought of Tiger Woods possibly being relevant again has made early season golf interesting so far. This past weekend the Honda Classic took place down in Florida and 2 of the biggest names involved were Justin Thomas and Tiger Woods. Heading into the tourney Thomas was listed as the highest ranking golfer set to play.
JT has been on fire recently and after winning the Honda on Sunday, hes already got 2 tournament wins out of about 5-6 events so far. Thomas had to win in a playoff with some no-name Luke List?. So naturally the nobody hacked his first tee shot and if it wasn’t for the crowds and stands probably would have been OB. Thomas poked one down the dick and was on in 2, birdie’ing 18 again and getting the W.
But earlier in JT’s round this happened..

As you can see/hear somebody yelled ‘get in the bunker’ AFTER his swing, and the ball was flying in the air. Now I know Golf is generally considered a yuppy sport played by rich kids who group up on the country clubs, but JT getting this guy kicked out of the tournament for heckling him is beyond soft. What did you think, every half drunk guy at the tourney was rooting for you???
If the guy is yelling in your backswing, Fine. I get that. But once the ball is in the air any of those fans can yell whatever they want about your stupid shot and your flying ball. If I want it to go in the sand who gives a shit? What, I have to root for you because your the guy tee’ing off in front of me?
Seemed like a real prissy bitch move by JT. This is probably the only place in the world he feels like a tough guy too because he’s on the course. But his snap reaction of, ‘ Who said that? You? You want my ball in the sand? Enjoy your day your gone…”
Total bitch move by JT. How about you birdie the hole and that loser who yells at golf tourneys will go home feeling dumb. How about you even give him a silent Pete Weber suck it when the ball flys right down the fairway and NOT in the sand?
Now Thomas is a rising star and I actually like how he’s been playing, overtaking his boy Jordan Spieth in the world rankings, but still don’t be a bitch, just go out and win and people won’t yell dumb shit at you anymore. Don’t get the poor drunk loser kicked out for rooting against you bro…that’s just childish.
