The US Open was really entertaining to watch this past weekend and Brooks Koepka finished out great. Watching these pros hack it up and get killed by a golf course was good TV on both Saturday and Sunday. Koepka really turned it on for Sunday and he played great down the stretch to secure his Second Consecutive US Open.
But it seems that the weekend was filled with more then just who won and battled on Sunday. Leave it to dumbass Phil Mickelson to create the biggest headline of the tournament. This play is unbelievable and I have never seen anything like what Fool Phil Mickleson did.

He later explained that he knew the penalty of hitting a moving ball was 2 strokes. So he claims to have strategically made the decision to hit the ball that was about to roll off the green, Before it stopped moving!!
What if I’m on an island green and my put is about to roll into the water? Should I just chase down the ball and smack it away from the water while it’s still rolling? To save the strokes of a water hazard? It was so ridiculous the announcers for the first time all tournament were speechless.
He should not have come out and played on Sunday. Phil intentionally cheated. Just go home. You were 15 over anyway.

Couldn’t agree more about his conduct. Golf’s stuffy image is real and they have some odd rules but, the rules are the rules. He purposely broke the rule, and your example is on target too. His score may well have been higher than just a double bogey if he had to play from where it landed after the rolling stopped…..he’s getting paid for crying out loud!!
